I wish I knew a way….

I really wish I knew of a way to move out of DC…well out of the US actually. I have been playing with the idea of moving for 6-12 months and at least from what I know, I’d love to live somewhere like Tokyo or somewhere in that vicinity. *sigh* I’ve been teaching myself Japanese for the last few months though as I am impressed with the amount of knowledge I have soaked up, i think i still am at about the equiv. to a grade 1 equivalency test in Japan, lol.

*EDIT*

Nippon Air – non stop – 14 hrs – $1050
*sigh*
road trip anyone?

  1. My first big overseas trip will be Eastern Europe. I’ve never been of the east coast 🙁 But hell yeah, Tokyo would be a fun trip.

  4. you can find tickets cheaper if you look often. GO. that’s always been my philosophy.

Living in japan is awesome.. sometimes it’s enough to drive you completely fucking out of your mind, and sometimes you can’t imagine being anywhere else. Right now, I’m in-between. i’m stuck here for reasons both positive and very negative, so i haven’t really enjoyed myself in a while. I hardly speak japanese anymore because i’ve lost my association with the culture as a whole. BUT, nonetheless, i always think that people should be here, at least once. it’s a culture that is so highly advanced in some areas, and so AMAZINGLY primitive in others. they got the microtechnology down. Now how about basic maintenence and sanitation, social education and welfare systems, equality (between sexes, races, ethnic origins within japan, classes…), individuality that is not a black-mark on your record, teaching their children to think creatively and not just memorize information to meet standards, oh, and an having an economy that isn’t completely bankrupt could be a positive. (of course, if they fixed the economy, what else could they blame their wild and disrespectful youth on?)

    *sigh*

but, i love my cellphone with a 1.3 megapixel digital camera that stores to an SD card and has a 20x digital zoom, faxes, transfers data via email, messaging, or Infrared, reads barcodes… (P505is)

you are never part of the crowd here… it makes feel that i’m ordinary at home…. i can’t remember anymore.
