hmm i wonder if all those trapped fluids have anything to do with the diet… or if he was just a hypocrite and ate whatever he wanted. i have tried to do that diet a few times but usually can’t even make it a whole day. it is just not a diet for people with no willpower (or cooking skills).

actually I think he was not a hypocrite. I think the article was getting at, that he WAS the long term effects of being on the atkins diet. Which many health professionals have said is too high in protein and fat and calories, and that a balanced diet should consider moderating not just carbs, but fat and calories too.
